Bryan Sours, Portland Custom Shop, Soursound

Just wanted to recommend Bryan Sours for any V4 repair you might need in Portland. I have an early V4 that I blew tubes on (7027s). I took it to Bryan who suggested I convert to 6550s which I ended up doing. I usually run my v4 at 12-o-clock with a boost and Death By Audio Fuzz War (this pushes the head to almost nuclear meltdown) I could not be happier with the repairs he did on my amp. I brought the head to Bryan a day before a show I was to play and he got it done in time and the price seemed extremely low compared to quotes I had acquired from other shops in town. Even more is the fact that Bryan was going on vacation the next day to Hawaii and he STILL finished it on time, I would imagine most people would not have gotten it done so quickly. I have taken my amp to Bryan for a few different repairs and both times he was EXTREMELY professional and his rates were more than fair. I get the feeling that he truly loves fixing these things and isn't doing solely for a paycheck. I cannot say enough good things about Bryan. Ask around if your in Portland and chances are someone will direct you to this kid. After the 7027s were swapped out for 6550s I have had people come up to me after every show (seriously)  and tell me how amazing my rig sounds.

**There's a reason why Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse had Bryan build him custom amps-
