Re: Other Ampegs FS

If your drool becomes uncontrolable, let me know. I'm about an hour from the store and could assist you should you need it.  BTW - I know these guys (know them meaning just to say hello or nod at at guitar shows) and they tend to be a bit on the AH side IMO.  Just an FYI, but would be happy to help you should you need it.

Re: Other Ampegs FS

Thanks!  It's a bit overpriced, and I'd rather a Gemini 1 right now, but it looks so pretty.  big_smile  And It's too far away.  But it's real nice to look at.  Thanks Oren!

Re: Other Ampegs FS

Is the V3 different than a B25/B25B?

2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do!

Re: Other Ampegs FS

The schematic I have shows it as more or less the same, but with no negative feedback between the OT and the 7199 like in the B-25.  If that's true, it should be somewhat dirtier, slightly less fidelity, 'feel' a bit different.

Re: Other Ampegs FS

There are a bunch of ampegs (Gemini, VT-40, Jet, Reverberocket, M-15? etc?)  listed on Music Go Round (musicgoround.com)

Music Go Round is a great place.  My drummer bought a VT-22 from them in near mint condition, original 7027As and speakers, for $350 plus $80 in shipping.  All it needed was a recap and it's doing great.

And now I'm buying it from him!

Re: Other Ampegs FS

Nice! There aren't any locations too close to me but they seem to have a fantastic inventory of used stuff between all the locations, with their website documenting it all...rivaling guitar center's used web site in that regard actually!
