Death of Jess Oliver
Ampeg Godfather and developer Jess Oliver died on June 30th. Somewhat surprised that this has not been reported on here yet. A sad loss for all of us bass and guitar players alike. RIP

Re: Death of Jess Oliver
I hadn't heard. That is indeed a huge loss. The B12 and B15 had circuits that ampeg used for almost a decade. it would be hard to find an ampeg amp from 1960-1970 that didn't have at least some piece of jess' genius inside.
RIP

Re: Death of Jess Oliver
I know it's a bit late, but I've recently bought an ampeg v4 restored by Jess Oliver. RIP - such a genius, such a visionary, like Oren said, a sad loss for bass players.
