Mid frequency switch
Hey just wondering what the mid frequency switch does and what the best position is to keep it in. In know its prob a matter if taste but I play kind of heavy at times queens of the stonage type music and lately I don't feel like I'm cutting through enough. Just looking to get the most out of my sound and tone and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas for settings that they have tinkered with that worked well for them. Maybe I have bass turned up too much. I play it out of an svt cl 8x10. I also play a fender jazz bass. Thanks in advance

Re: Mid frequency switch
The switch selects the frequency that the mid control boosts or cuts. The frequencies go 300hz,1khz,3khz.
I would recommend starting with the controls at 12 o'clock. At 12 o'clock the eq is flat. None of the eq controls are doing anything.
If your sound into bassy, try turning the bass down rather than turning the treble up. Another cool idea, turn the bass down, set the mid switch to 300hz and boost the mids. This can help you reduce rumble and give you more definition in the lows.
Similar thing could be done with the highs and mid switch set to 3khz.
