Video of me tapping on my vt-40's tubes. Which ones to replace?
Heres an action packed video of me tapping on tubes in the dark of night. I have a feeling the 12DW7 (#6) is monophonic. What is this tube for? And can I replace it with a 12AX7? If I do, what will be the results? More gain?
The #3 doesnt chime, but makes a small "pop" through the speakers when i tap it. It's a 6K11.
Heres the video of me testing them.

I don't think you could swap the 12DW7 with a 12AX7, they're different kinds of tubes.. I'd say you need to change #3, #4 and #6

12dw7s are in production, both JJ and electo-harmonix make one.
