New to me V4 with burnt PCB

Hey all. I got a hand me down V4 which appears to be 70's Magnavox era. Someone had put 1k 5w Screen Resistors on the board and had ran EL34's without jumping pins 1 and 8.  My buddy said it started smoking on stage and low and behold the screen resistors have burnt the PCB so bad it's not possible to replace them on the PCB. My question. Can I drop in 470 Ohm  3-5 watt resistors from Pin 4 to Pin 6 and then run leads to the dual 20 uf cap adjacent to the board? I want to go back to 6l6 or 7027 varietal tubes.

Re: New to me V4 with burnt PCB

So. Since no one answered...I went ahead and did it. Works fine with 6l6GC's but blew the 12dw7 which was in poor shape anyway....Also I'm getting now sound with the imepedance selector at 8 Ohms. I figure it's the switch...anyone know where I can source on of those switches?
