Ampeg VL-1002 from 110V to 220V
Hello, a proud V4 user here but recently bought VL-1002 to expand the Ampeg family. I live in Europe though and need to change it to 220V. I read somewhere that with VL's it is as easy as switching a few cables. I tried to do it looking at the schematics but cable colors are not matching the schematics and the boards don't have symbols also. I was wondering if anyone has any experience and would be able to help looking at the pics I took, or at least tell me if it's possible to do it and I will not have to buy any external units.

Re: Ampeg VL-1002 from 110V to 220V
the cable colors seem to be all the same except for there is no brown/white but there is a violet.. which meets up with a white wire from the transformer. so I assume that is our Brown white.
the only thing I get hung up on is that they have the center tap for the filaments going to J11... but that gets used by one of the primary taps in the 220/240 versions.
I would email loud technologies and ask them if they could send you all relevant documentation for the VL-1002. that might make it easier. they could have board layouts which would be labeled. (hopefully)
though... I think we could figure it out if you lifted the board and took a picture of the underside also.
