VT-40 reverb issue(s)...

Hey, all. I just bought a VT-40 and I'm completely happy with everything. It is truly an amazing amp. My friend who sold it to me just had everything serviced and it was given a 100% clean bill of health. It sounds incredible but when I hit the reverb switch, nothing happens. Where should I start in terms of troubleshooting this and locating the issue? Could it have been a shipping problem (it was mailed to me)? Are there basic tests I can do at home to figure this out? Thanks.

It could very well be a broken connection in the reverb tank.

Or... If it was mailed to you, did you unlock the reverb?
There is a reverb lock on the back of the amp.

Yeah, I unlocked the tank for sure. Hopefully, it's just a connection issue. I hear the reverb on these things are amazing and it was supposedly working right before it shipped. Now, to find a decent tech....
